Westford Academy heads to Acton-Boxboro this Thanksgiving morning for the next chapter in this great rivalry. As the Ghosts prepare for kickoff, here’s a quick look at how the matchup has gone over the past four meetings.
2024 — WA 50, Acton-Boxboro 0
Westford delivered its most dominant Thanksgiving win of the series, shutting out A-B 50–0. QB Alex Wilson led the way with 149 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Evan Pasters added 102 rushing yards and a long score. The Ghosts’ defense recorded its fourth shutout of the season, highlighted by an interception from Quinn Reynolds.
2023 — WA 35, Acton-Boxboro 10
Junior Quinn Reynolds sparked the offense with two touchdown receptions and a blocked-punt recovery for a score. After a slow start, WA took a 6–3 halftime lead on a trick-play TD pass from Jack Cullen to Reynolds and controlled the game the rest of the way to earn a 7–4 season finish.
2022 — WA 43, Acton-Boxboro 14
Senior captain Anthony Rudiman put together one of the best Thanksgiving performances in program history, rushing for 232 yards and two touchdowns while catching another. QB Kaden Silton threw three touchdown passes — two to Matt Haggan — and senior Luke Fremault returned a punt 85 yards for a score as WA built a 35–0 halftime lead and cruised.
2021 — WA 38, Acton-Boxboro 21
Down 14–0 early, Westford answered behind QB Jack Cullen’s 165 passing yards and three touchdown throws. Anthony Rudiman added 130 rushing yards, Peter Burdin hit a key 31-yard field goal before halftime, and Ethan Ewing’s 95-yard fumble return sealed the win as the Ghosts pulled away in the second half.
